RULES: ALL ROADS IN WEXFORD COUNTY MAY BE TRAVELED DURING FROST LAW SEASON IF THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS ARE MET:
ALL TYPES OF LOADS MUST BE REDUCED BY 35% FROM LEGAL AXLE LOADS DURING FROST LAW SEASON.
SPEEDS SHALL BE REDUCED TO 35 M.P.H. DURING FROST LAW SEASON FOR A TRUCK WITH A GROSS WEIGHT OF 10,000 POUNDS OR MORE, A TRUCK-TRACTOR WITH A TRAILER, OR A COMBINATION OF THESE.
EXCEPTIONS: ALTHOUGH EXEMPT BY LAW FROM SEASONAL WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS, MILK HAULERS ARE NOT EXEMPT FROM APPLYING FOR A PERMIT WITH THE ROAD COMMISSION. MILK HAULERS MUST IDENTIFY HAUL ROUTES THAT THEY WILL USE DURING FROST LAW SEASON.
ALL SEASON TRUCK ROUTE ROADS: THESE ARE ROADS IN WHICH LEGAL AXLE LOADS (NOT REDUCED BY 35%) MAY BE HAULED ANY TIME OF THE YEAR.
